The Southeast Asia Junior Basketball League is proud to announce that international professional player Andre Cosey is keen to play an active role in supporting the development of youth basketball through a new partnership opportunity beginning with a special CJBC camp this March.
With professional experience across the United States, Asia, Mexico, Bolivia, and Europe — including the Czech Republic — Cosey brings a truly global basketball résumé to Southeast Asia. Known for his scoring ability, athleticism, and adaptability, he represents the modern professional athlete: skilled on the court and influential beyond it.
Throughout his career, Cosey has trained, competed, or shared platforms with high-level players such as Monte Morris, Mateen Cleaves, JaVale McGee, Devin Ebanks, and Hassan Adams. Exposure to elite environments has given him first-hand insight into what it truly takes to succeed in competitive global basketball markets.
Beyond professional leagues, Cosey also appeared in a Chinese basketball film, highlighting how today’s athletes can operate at the intersection of sport, entertainment, and culture. His journey demonstrates that basketball pathways extend far beyond one destination — and that international opportunities are real for players willing to develop the right mindset.
A Strong Fit for SEAJBL & CJBC Development Pathways
Cosey’s interest in working with the Southeast Asia Junior Basketball League aligns perfectly with SEAJBL’s long-term mission: building structured, competitive, and globally connected youth basketball ecosystems across Cambodia and the wider region.
He connects naturally with young athletes and focuses on:
- Guard skill development
- Scoring fundamentals
- Confidence building
- Professional discipline and habits
- Understanding overseas basketball pathways
- Adapting to different playing styles and environments
For Southeast Asian players, exposure to a professional who has built a career internationally — not just within the NBA system — offers valuable perspective. It reinforces that global basketball is accessible with the right training, consistency, and mindset.
