SEAJBL Appoints Jordan Boatwright as Player Development Director to Elevate Basketball in Southeast Asia
The Southeast Asia Junior Basketball League (SEAJBL) is excited to announce the appointment of Jordan Boatwright as its new Player Development Director, a strategic move to advance basketball player development in Southeast Asia and strengthen junior basketball competition play across the region.
Jordan Boatwright joins SEAJBL with a reputation as a dedicated player development specialist and founder of Swishful Athletics, where he has spent years training aspiring athletes to reach new levels in their game. His arrival marks a major milestone for basketball talent pathways in Southeast Asia — bringing world-class development philosophy and training methodologies to the region’s fastest-growing junior basketball league.
Boatwright’s journey in basketball coaching began in 2018, when he recognised his true passion for training and developing athletes at all levels, from middle school prospects to professional players. Over the last several years, Jordan has honed his craft by interning at elite facilities such as The Skills Factory, P3, and Synergy Sports, and working with a spectrum of high school and individual players to refine their offensive and defensive skill sets.
What sets Jordan apart is not just his technical expertise — but his real-world experience working with and training players associated with the NBA. His hands-on work with talented athletes, including professionals and NBA champions like Jordan Loyd, Paul Millsap and Dwight Howard, reflects a commitment to tailored player growth and on-court performance excellence.
As SEAJBL’s Player Development Director, Jordan will support implementation of customized training frameworks, focus on enhancing fundamentals, and lead SEAJBL’s strategic development programs.
His oversight on the curriculum will integrate individual skill training with team-oriented competition learning, ensuring players don’t just improve in drills but elevate their performance during junior basketball competition play. The goal: a deeper, more sustainable pipeline of basketball talent progressing through SEAJBL and beyond.
With grassroots participation in the region growing rapidly, SEAJBL continues to expand opportunities for young athletes to compete, improve, and pursue their basketball ambitions. Jordan’s appointment enhances the league’s commitment to becoming the premier destination for basketball player development in Southeast Asia — a place where talent is nurtured, competition thrives, and champions are made.
