Becoming a coach with SEAJBL can be more than just running sessions—it’s joining a partnership that empowers you with branding, training, and community support while giving you the flexibility to build and grow your own basketball program. Coaches receive the tools, resources, and recognition to make an impact in their community, while SEAJBL provides the framework, marketing, and pathways to elevate both coaching and player development.

What Coaches Get

• Equipment & Uniform: All essential gear and coaching apparel provided.

• Technology & Development: Access to MySEAJBL Jnr Skills platform [learn more]

• Community & Support: Regular team-building activities and meetups.

• Coach Education: Supported pathway toward Certificate III in Sports Coaching (AU).

• Competition Access: Entry to SEAJBL competitions* plus overseas and tournament opportunities*.

• Flexibility: Freedom to manage your schedule and sessions each week.

• Exclusive Areas: Allocated areas for you to build your basketball program within Cambodia.

• Online Advertising: Opportunity for SEAJBL co-investments (1:1 shared budget) for area-targeted ads.

• Physical Advertising: Permanent or pop-up signage at approved sites with 1:1 shared budget support.

Responsibilities of Coaches

• Venue Commitment: Secure a ‘home court’ location with a 5 km exclusive player radius (can be swapped after 4 weeks if underperforming).

• Program Delivery: Run at least 1 weekly session (up to 4) at your nominated venue.

• Promotion & Growth: Actively promote SEAJBL with clear group size growth targets.

• Player Experience: Deliver high-quality sessions that maximize retention.

• Start-up Commitment: $150 refundable deposit.

Coach Payment

• Base Rate: Starting rate of a minimum $10/hour per session.

• Additional Earnings: Grow your group size to increase session returns – earn upwards of $60 per hour.
