April was a whirlwind month for the Southeast Asia Junior Basketball League (SEAJBL), packed with exciting developments, key team additions, and promising collaborations as we continue building toward an ambitious vision for youth basketball across the region.

Growing the SEAJBL Family
We’re thrilled to welcome several new team members who bring fresh energy and expertise to SEAJBL. From social media and design to league operations and logistics, our growing staff reflects our commitment to delivering a professional and inspiring experience for junior players, parents, and partner organizations. These new hires are already making a meaningful impact, contributing to both the strategic direction and day-to-day execution of our programs.

Platform Development in Full Swing
Behind the scenes, our tech team continues to make strides in developing SEAJBL’s all-in-one league management platform. In April, we focused on enhancing user experience, streamlining team registrations, and testing key modules that will power scheduling, digital scoresheets, AI statistics, and video highlights. Our mission is to simplify operations for clubs while creating a world-class digital experience for players and fans.

Game Day Innovation
One of the most exciting milestones this month was the successful testing of our game day hardware. These on-site systems are designed to deliver live scores, AI-generated stats, and highlight reels—all from a single game-day control hub.

Upskilling for a Stronger Team
Several team members participated in training workshops and professional development courses throughout April. These sessions covered everything from digital content strategy to youth sports governance, equipping our staff with the knowledge and tools to elevate the league’s operations, marketing, and compliance standards.

Forging New Partnerships
SEAJBL’s leadership team also engaged in strategic conversations with both local and international organizations this month. From apparel partnerships to venue collaborations and community outreach projects, several exciting alliances are currently in the works. These partnerships will play a pivotal role in amplifying SEAJBL’s impact across Southeast Asia and beyond.

SEAJBL Singapore Recruits Operations Manager

We’re excited to welcome Barry Goh (pictured as a champion!) as SEAJBL’s new Singapore Operations Manager! Barry was from leading sports organisations like the Singapore Badminton Association and World Table Tennis, where he managed major events and sports business. Known for his professionalism, creativity, and operational experience, Barry will oversee all aspects of league operations in Singapore as we continue to grow. His passion for youth sports and commitment to community perfectly align with our mission, and we’re thrilled to have him join the SEAJBL family. Welcome aboard, Barry!
