This 10-week beginners basketball program is structured so that participants can join at any point and still learn all the fundamentals rules, skills and drills that all participants learn over the same duration.
Our experience coaches will teach your child the introductory skills of ball handling, dribbling, lay ups, passing, shooting, footwork, defense, player movement and rebounding. With a range of take-away drills your child can continue to reinforce their lessons individually or with family members and friends. Coupled with the progressive approach your child will also learn basic game play strategies, how to put together various skill combinations and the rules of the game.
Once your child has completed 10-weeks our coaches will share their feedback on their progress and they will have the opportunity to advance to skill sessions – the next step to undertaking competitive game play. In some instances, where your child may be very young or lack confidence they are invited to continue to attend further beginner sessions in a safe and supportive environment until they are ready for the next step.
