FREE GIRLS BASKETBALL IN PHNOM PENH#COMMUNITY

What is Team SWISH?

Team SWISH (Strong Women In Sports & Hoops) is a basketball community created by girls, for girls. These events are designed to provide a safe, fun, and empowering space where girls in basketball can connect, socialize, and form a basketball community together.

Whether you love playing basketball or just enjoy being around the game, you’re invited to join us for an evenings of hoops, connection, and fun. We’ll split into teams and run casual game play — competitive enough to stay sharp, but relaxed enough to keep the vibes light.

Beyond the court, we’re building a community. If getting a sweat up on the court isn’t your thing then join Team SWISH for coffee, casual hangouts, and brainstorming sessions where you can share ideas, meet new friends, and be part of SEAJBL’s mission to grow basketball for girls in Cambodia.

No pressure, no stress — just good basketball, good people, and a great way to spend your evening in Phnom Penh. Come ready to play, spectate, or simply connect with others who love the game!

FAQs for PARTICIPANTS

For SWISH Coffee & Chat sessions.
  • What does a SWISH Coffee & Chat session look like?
    • SWISH Coffee & Chat sessions are intentionally casual and welcoming — designed as relaxed meet-ups rather than formal meetings. SEAJBL selects a cosy, accessible location where small groups can come together for open conversations, brainstorming, and collaborative planning. It’s a space to share ideas, connect with others, and spark new initiatives over good company — and every participant enjoys a complimentary drink as part of the experience.
  • What should I bring?
    • You don’t need to prepare anything — just bring yourself, your ideas, and an open mind. Most importantly, come ready to share, listen, and be part of the conversation.
  • Can people who are not familiar with basketball participate?
    • Absolutely! SWISH is about much more than just basketball knowledge. Our focus is on creating conversations, finding solutions, and taking meaningful action to support girls and women in sports. If you’re passionate about contributing ideas, learning, and being part of positive change — even if you’re new to the game — we’d love for you to join us.
  • How long is each session?
    • Each session typically runs for about 90 minutes. Of course, many participants choose to stay a little longer to chat, network, and continue the conversations if they’re free.
  • Do I need to register each time I attend?
    • No, you only need to register once to join the SWISH community. However, when new session dates are announced, we’ll ask you to confirm your attendance for each event. This helps us plan the space, refreshments, and activities more smoothly.
